Soft and shaggy, all colours and sizes,
Long shapely nails and sharp incisors,
I gnaw at soft flannels, wools and Ts,
I could eat you alive, but you can’t help but love me.
My toes can grip branches, rocks and minnow’s,
But I much prefer doonas, laps and pillows.
I like to creep closer while you are at sleep,
I reach for your neck as silently I creep,
all through the night, buried down deep.
I’ll nestle beside you if you don’t make a sound,
But beware if you wake me,
I can be a real brown.
The answer is: I am a Teddy Bear
