In the creation of rituals, unlike poetry, not all would be emotional. Some require tools. Some would be narrated by several first person POVs (Rosenfeld 2016). Using free verse however (Abrams & Harpham 2012, pp. 142-144), the rituals would maintain a structural form to create visual imagery using words (Wendell 1995, p. 497).
Rituals do not consistently use meter, rhyme, or musical pattern (Jenna 2018), and I throw out the rule book (Ehlers 2017) in the Fields of Elysian, Josephine Marlin Origins series (Which is currently being edited as I write the Josephine Marlin: The Rise of Andore’). The concrete poem below is an excerpt of a ritual from the Origins series.
